Episode 13: The Curse of la Llorona

We are back this week with another episode of the podcast! This time we cover Michael Chavez's The Curse of la Llorona starring Linda Cardellini! We talk about the things we've been up to, including Sam's time with Columbus Gives Back and Zac's recent Twin Peaks marathon and tattoo. We also talk about the news of the week like Loraine Warrens' passing at 92 and the new films coming out soon. We appreciate our friends over at Living Dead Apparel and encourage you to check them out at livingdeadapparel.com. The Fear Footage is also currently on sale, so head over to either Amazon Prime video or thefearfootage.com to grab yourself a copy! Last but not least, feel free to check us out on Patreon and leave us a review on iTunes! We really appreciate everyone tuning back in to check us out. This is a mostly spoiler free (or at least significant spoiler-free) episode, so feel free to check us out before you go! If you wanna reach out to us check out our social media below!

Episode 12 – Pet Sematary

This week we're back with the newly released remake of the Stephen King classic from Starry Eyes directors Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmeyer! While it's nothing revolutionary, we really liked the film and we were excited for something a little less head-spacey after the last show. We talk about what we've been watching (LOTS of Twin Peaks) and what Zac's been playing (Amnesia is a terrifying game). We also talk about the recent Alien short films premiering over at ign.com, Alex Aja's Crawl, and the new Silent Hill Blu-ray release coming via Shout! Factory!

Bonus Episode: Us

That's right! We're back and we've already been out to the theaters to check out Jordan Peele's directorial follow-up to Get Out. We loved it, but it was an exhausting episode. There's a lot to unpack in this film, so we tried our best to make sure that we hit on the most important parts. We also each got something totally different out of the film, so our interpretations this week are significantly different. This is a bonus episode, so we don't have any segments besides the discussion. I called this an instant classic and one of my top five favorite films of the genre, and while Sam didn't like it quite that much, she still gave it a really glowing review. Needless to say, we agreed on something, for once. If you can do us a solid and give us a review on iTunes and a follow on Spotify, it would really help us out.

Episode 10 – Gaspar Noe’s Climax

We are back this week with Climax, the new Gaspar Noe film out in theaters NOW! Following a dance troupe whose sangria bowl gets spiked with LSD, the film follows as the dancers each crumble inside of their own highs (and heads) and quickly turn on each other, resulting in a violent and chaotic third act. Please, please, please leave us a review on iTunes and follow us on Spotify. These two things do more than you can imagine to help us expand this show and keep growing. If you leave us a review on iTunes, we'll send you out a couple TerrifiedTalkerPodcast stickers to slap on anything you want! We hate to brag, but our skeletons look pretty damn good.

BONUS: Greta (2019) Spoiler Free

Episode 9: Greta Isabelle Huppert as Greta We're back this week for a spoiler free (yes, I made Sam stop talking) discussion/review of the recently released Greta! This is a bonus episode, so we've got no news and no fooling around. Well, maybe some, but we get straight to the movie. If you haven't seen … Continue reading BONUS: Greta (2019) Spoiler Free

Podcast Episode 7 – Karyn Kusama’s “The Invitation”

This week we cover some of the latest news, we live-watch some trailers that scare the shit out of Sam ("The Fear Footage"), and we even talk a little bit about "Velvet Buzzsaw" (spoiler: we weren't that impressed). We also removed the Blu-ray discussion segment from the podcast, as it just felt out of place in our show. Hopefully, this means I'll be using that time saved to create better posts about specific Blu-ray releases (in the continued form of news posts and new form of Blu-ray release, packaging, and special features posts). Lastly, we wrap up with our favorite and least favorite IMDb reviews.
